5X STATE CHAMPION ALIQUIPPA FOOTBALL PARTNERS WITH GRIT SPORTS PERFORMANCE

Aliquippa, PA — One of the most storied programs in Pennsylvania high school football, Aliquippa Football, has officially named GRIT Sports Performance as its Official Growth, Recovery, and Innovative Training Partner for the 2025 season.

Led by Head Coach Mike Warfield, the Quips will send players weekly to GSP Labs by GRIT Sports Performance in New Castle, PA. Athletes will gain access to cutting-edge recovery and performance technologies including whole body cryotherapy, compression therapy, red light therapy, infrared, and hyperbaric recovery—all designed to promote faster recovery, reduce injury risk, and keep players physically and mentally ready throughout the grind of the season.

Aliquippa’s football legacy is unmatched. With five PIAA State Championships and a record 20 WPIAL titles, the program has consistently produced elite talent and maintained dominance—even as it competes up in classification under the PIAA’s success formula, a rule that bumps smaller schools into tougher divisions due to continued success.

“Our number one priority is always the health, safety, and overall welfare of our players—not just for this season, but for their future beyond the game,” said Coach Warfield, who has guided Aliquippa to multiple state finals and developed numerous Division I and NFL athletes. “These young men give everything they have to this program, and it’s our responsibility to give them every tool possible to stay healthy, recover properly, and perform at their highest level—despite being required to play up in classification.”

Warfield added, “It’s a long season, and availability will be key for us this year. GRIT gives our team the best opportunity to recover faster and stay ready week after week. Our kids couldn’t wait to get started.”
